Welcome to the Hispanic Business Showcase (HBS) Speaker resource page.
2010 Speaking Opportunities
The Hispanic Business Showcase offers its speakers tremendous opportunities for exposure and recognition as an industry leader. Your session will attract many business owners and professionals interested in learning from your example, expertise and experience. In appreciation of your contributions as a workshop speaker, we provide the following benefits:
- Listing in the official program of the event. It includes a short biography (300 words max.) and contact information.
- Premium Membership in the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce for one year.
- One complementary ticket for the Exhibitor’s VIP Mixer.
- The opportunity to post promotional articles in the official blog of the event.
- Tabletop display during your presentation.
Presentations
All the workshops presentations must be received by September 1st, 2010. Our goal is to provide presentations that deliver pure practical tips, not product pitches.
The workshops presented at the Hispanic Business Showcase must be a reliable source of advanced knowledge. Pitching rather than teaching reflects poorly on both the speaker and his or her company. Pitching is strictly prohibited during the workshops.
Your presentation must be approved by us before it can be presented.
Evaluation Criteria
Keep in mind that the quality of the description that you submit matters! Your description should be relevant for the topic you are submitting, and clearly explain what attendees will learn from you.
Applications are subjected to the following review:
Originality
Topics should provide a unique perspective, viewpoint or way of doing something.
Practical Value
An objective presentation that meets the educational needs of the audience is optimal to enhancing the credibility of the speaker, the speaker’s employer and the event.
